A rather packed Saturday. Started off with a run early in the morning in the North-east of the island. Then grabbed a quick bite before heading down to the HSA. And then back to YH's for games! Ended the day feeling like a zombie but it was great fun.

After the run.

At HSA for the second part of our outing.

Responding to the shortfall, amazingly there was quite a turn out by the public there!

YH's first time.

What I see

We got hungry thereafter, so we stopped for a late lunch.

Before proceeding to playing a new game.

Continuing after our pizza dinner till the wee hours.

Ended the night with something sweet. Home-made 九层糕。

No surprises

No surprises.

It is gonna be an eventful day today, Saturday I mean.

In no particular order.

An ice cream place 3 bus stops away from my place.

Bobbi.

Coffee and tea.

Spizza at Jalan Kayu.

And some calamari as well.

First good run after that bout of cold, 21 days to the 10km Sheares Bridge run.

Berries

And a lot of chips at YH's. :)

A random lazy meal at Cedele.

Lastly, my foot with its Morton's toe. Haha.

Hopefully this will be the last time I watch the Samsung commercial before any video (think the David Beckham yep and that ball striking the gong), or the McD one for this matter, or even Chariots of Fire theme during the medal ceremonies. I've actually watched lesser of the Games after the pool events concluded after the first week. Well, I guess there was more excitement in the pool than on the track. And probably more interesting stuff to watch there. :D

And now, onto the closing ceremony.

Happy 47th Birthday Singapore

There is a hole that is threatening to split my favourite pair of jeans down the seam in the middle; and due to that I wore a pair of jeans that I bought 6 years ago in the US for the first time today. I'm recovering from that delayed bout of common cold; and I was treated to a belated bday meal and ice cream and apple crumble tonight. Was reminded of how we met on that fateful camp back in 2006 while browsing the pictures uploaded for the same camp in 2012.

There are some songs that are classics, and some just ain't. Take this following one as an example, 14 years on, it still brings about a tad of emotion whenever she sings this at the NDP, and Kit Chan does it best. And through the years, she seemed to have injected her own feelings and emotions into her rendition, which only served to make the song that little bit more endearing. The mandatory National Day Parade song.

Happy Birthday Singapore, and many more good years to come.

The Olympic Games turn people into zombies, from all the late nights camping in front of the computer screen staring at the youtube page.

Well, swimming is almost over and the track and field events had started. A Wimbledon final rematch is on the card for the tennis final. So many events with the multiple browser pages opened and stacked, but one has only a pair of eyes. There goes the sleep again for the upcoming rest of the Games. Rofl.

Good morning Saturday.

Pondering over the Piccolo. (manual)

Giving thoughts to the Genio. (automatic)

Contemplating on the Circolo. (automatic)

The manual model has a level which allows you to control the amount of water, but is a tad troublesome that you have to monitor it. The automatic one has predetermined water levels for you to choose from. While the former gives you the flexibility to tweak your drinks to your liking, the latter brings about convenience.

Choices. Choices.

I didn't swear yesterday, told myself to be nice. Though I almost did after that guy braked in the middle of the road while I was getting home, about 10 minutes from midnight. And I was inches away from hitting him. So yeah FUCK YOU mother fucker. Please die so far away from me that I will not even know that you are gone. It will be an insignificant loss anyway with your stupidity and recklessness. Alright. Over with rant.

I gorged myself silly tonight with sashimi and other goodies, and finished the night with beancurd and grass jelly. One of the more eventful ones, when this date is concerned. Till the next one.
