A Lot.

Earlier today, a lot of things went thru my mind. Thought about a lot of things, but nothing in particular. Everything was just flashing thru and none of them will stay for a moment longer for me to ponder.

Suddenly I realised that I have very little memories of my earlier days. Days when I was still a little boy. I mean other than the major happenings, I cannot recall must of my life. Was it because I was till young? My brain cannot store so much yet? I don't know. Or subconsciously I chose to lock these memories deep behind me? I have no I-dea.

I guess everybody has this particular 'life' that they will choose to lock away deep inside them. I am no special case. Sometimes I feel that everything is bursting out, too much to keep. And I have this urge to pour everything out of me. To a stranger. A counselor maybe? Well, cos I felt that not having any ties with the person makes it easier for me to open up. Lesser complications. Haha, seems that my xin1 ji1 very heavy hor?

I do get melancholic at times. Times where I really just want to give up everything and leave. Hah, silly right? But there is just so much that I cannot bear.

My life was not what it used to be. I can see the change from young till now. Things have remained and some had changed for better and worst. Sometimes it gets quite disheartening. Question marks appear as and when they like. And it is up to you to find the suitable answers. Nobody will judge you on your decisions. It is how you answer to yourself.

Quite a stupid post hor? Reading it over, I don't see the link in some areas. But these are the thoughts when I was typing. Haha. Don't read too deep into everything. It may not make any sense at all.

Felt Burnt Out.

Saturday 17/06/06

Stayed up the entire night, while waiting to go for breakfast. Because if I had gone to bed, most probably I will pang seh the breakfast le. So no choice. Breakfast was at McDonald's. After breakfast, I actually went back to my old primary compound. A little trespass there, but. Haha. A lot of mosquitoes, dirt and dust. But even more memories. We should really go back since we have the time now. Haha.

Managed to catch a few hours of sleep after that. Headed to Ang Mo Kio NTUC to meet up the guys to shop for BBQ stuff. Headed back to YH's place to prepare the food. And also some game in between. Playing with the fire to get it to burn is no small feat. Made me so dirty and hot and sticky. Yuck. Food was good. Sambal was too hot! To think we were so generous with it. Chilled out. Fastastic place he has, a good neighbour to complement it also *wink wink*. Haha. Knocked out after I got home.

Sunday 18/06/06

Started with me waking at up at 1.30pm? 'Brunch' and read the papers. Dwell at home till around 4pm. Headed down to Tampines for a mini concert later. Decided to take a bus down. Took number 8.

Guess what? She absolutely melted my heart!!!!!! Gosh!! Who am I referring to? No, not my newfound love. But this little girl that was on the bus. Sitting in front of me. She was with her family of 5. And they are Japanese. She is so cute and lively! Kept playing with her dad. Gosh, I don't mind such a daughter next time.

Met up with some friends also. Concert was fine. There's always the segments that you like and don't. So it was the usual. Hang out with them for awhile after the entire thing. Took bus home. As there was no more feeder service to my place, I traveled by foot back.

Gotta wake up early for breakfast again tomorrow. So I am off to bed.

It has been 2 yrs 6 mths since I was enlisted for National Service.

It has been 1 yr 8 mths since I became a Full-Time Operational Soldier.

It has been 1 yr 2 mths since we became the Best Ops company, and 1 CDO clinching BCU.

It has been 10 mths since I took part in NDP 2005

It has been 2 mths since I have ORD-ed.

It has been 1 mth since I came back from States.

Looking back at all my NS experience, I dare to say mine is an unique one that can never be replicated. Never will I forget all the laughter, joy, sweat, tears and blood that we have shed and shared with each other back in Hendon.

Going thru all the @#$&^^% together; airborne, endless outfield and missions. We often sit down and wonder, how did we ever endure so much shit? We really don't have the answer. Perhaps it is the sheer will and determination of each other that forced us to go on. Not wanting to become a burden to your buddy, your body subconsciously push u to beyond the limit you thought possible to you. Can I ever find that in me? I don't know. Really.

When you are in it, you are always looking forward to the ORD date. When the day finally come, some times u can be at a loss too. Everything that happened may seem so surreal. Turn outs, route marches, out fields, mission preps. Gosh.

As our ORD date drew closer, no doubt we are overjoyed that this period of liability is soon to be over. But we can't help but feel sad also. This wonderful story that featured all of us as a lead had a grand opening. Tales in between are unforgettable. It is no doubt that even the most amazing stories had to end, some day.

As our journey came to an end, I am certain that each and everyone of us had taken with us, a valuable lesson learnt during the course of our journey. The belief that we will stand up for and never give up on anyone had led us so far. The coy spirit had seen us overcoming the various odds that stood in our way. Holding onto the values that we have learnt, I am sure that everyone will have his day.

Never will I forget the times we have spent.

To quote: I've come to realise that no matter the amount of physical or mental strength that I possessed, I would never have made it this far without the finest men who have shed his blood, sweat and tears with me. These men whom I met as strangers, but will now part as my brothers.

I am both proud and honoured to have known these people in my journey.

And I may 'qualify' for the EL Workshop because of my low verbal SAT score. Sucks.

Camps are coming. Sports, SMUX, Econs and Orientation. Hmm.. Probably skip the Sports.

I was in bed. Then again..

It is the 1st time in like #$#%$# how long I woke up at 9. Haha. Was it due to the jitters from the prospect of meeting up my ex classmates from primary school? Haha. No. Cos I wana eat Kuah Chap. So had to wake up early.

Anyway, was suppose to meet SK up before meeting the rest for lunch. BUT!! I realised that me left my Ez-Link card at home! !@#$%^%#@!@ I went back to get it lor. Not much of a choice right? After I got to the train station, it was like what time le. So late. Some more Ryan ended his tuition early. So we meet at Braddell station on the train and headed down Orchard Library. He borrowed books.

Headed down to PS when it was almost time. Then had shakes at MOS Burger since we are still early. Met the rest after they arrived. Swensen's empty for a weekend. Jun was late even before we arrive. She sms-ed me. I just knew she will be late. Haha. Ya, and as usual, she ate nth. Gosh she really eats very very little a day. How she does that?! Haha.

Talked for quite some time at Swensen's. Cindy had to leave early. So we decided to move on to either Starbucks or TCC below. But the live band put us off. So we headed down to TCC at Paradiz Centre. It was sparse also. Nice. Good for catching up. Talked about everything under the sun. Then Iskandar joined us. Yeah. Chatted till 7 plus coming to 8. Hana had to leave. So we decided to leave. Cos Kevin had to go for his friend's party. Yup. And we decided that we will have another gathering soon! Haha.

Headed down to TPY before home. I wanted to buy some yoghurt. Some1 had to kill some time also. So we stopped there lor. Headed home after that.

Guess what? I knocked out on bed after I washed up. Fell asleep till like 1.30am where I just woke up. No particular reason that I can think of. Just felt that I had some 'unfinished' business to take care of. Wahahahaha..

Time to hit the bed again lo.

Saw this lady in the train to Harbour Front today. She was wearing a pair of white pants. Kinda translucent. The thing is the striking contrast of her pants and her black thong. Her assemble of white outside and black inside from top to toe cannot make it. Damn AA la!

Then on the NEL to Harbour Front, another lady with a pair of white pants with floral prints. Blue colour inner wear this time. Similar design inside as the lady earlier.. *she was with a Caucasian*
